 Whammy Matt Bunny #1

Starts with Matt coming to Whammy's. His family was always so loud, so it's easy to become friends with Mello, who'd just as noisy as them a lot of the time. Matt wants to be friends with Near too, but it annoys him that Near almost never talks. MattxNear yaoi. The summary I came up with in my mind it 'Near was always so damn quiet...it pissed Matt off. So he did something about it.' Basically, it after Mello leaves Whammy's Matt stays behind to finish school first, leaving him with only Near. Lemons occur, as well as an awkward romance, although it's your choice if you want to make them really, really in love. I invisisioned the story ending when Matt leaves to find Mello...but that's up to you. :) Stick mainly to the DN plot though.
